Stock Market Opening Trends: Sensex, Nifty flat in early trade

The INDIA VIX is down 0.48% at 18.1200. Out of 1,734 stocks traded on the NSE, 526 declined and 781 advanced today. A total of two stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

  • S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 24,367 up 28 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,419 up 15 points.
  • The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.18% at 10,142, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.75% at 10,443.
Adani Ports, Tata Motors, Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, L&T and Wipro are among the gainers, whereas Tata Steel, Lupin, GAIL, Cipla, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki and Bharti Airtel are losing sheen on BSE.
